About CCULR
The Institute was initially founded in 1991, offering graduate programs for full-time students; thereafter, the Department became established in 1996, dedicating to the undergraduate programs. To fulfill the demand for lifetime learning in the society, we further launched the on-the-job graduate program in 1999. By the end of 2000, the Department/ Institute includes 15 faculty members (6 associate professors and 9 assistant professors). In light of the growing importance of labor studies in Taiwan, the Institute is in preparation of offering doctoral programs in the near future.
The Department/Institute is fairly energetic in teachings, researches, and academic activities. We offer BSc programs aiming to provide undergraduate students with the very essential trainings and knowledge of labor studies. To help students obtain empirical and first-hand experience, they are required to attend on-the-job training for a period of at least four weeks. Our graduate programs include full-time and on-the-job sub-programs, both leading to MSc degrees.
Because of the growing demand for labor studies in Taiwan, over the past two years we have dramatically recruited our faculty and stressed the importance of adopting new research directions and technology for breakthroughs. Moreover, we would renew and reorganize undergraduate and graduate programs on a regular base in a hope of keeping our trainings for students parallel to the real-world evolutionary trends. Also a point worthy of stressing is that in designing undergraduate and graduate programs, we have emphasized much on the importance in reflecting current/ future interests and demands in the society and the world.

Thanks Much
